Velox began operations in 1995, upon recognition of an important area of opportunity in the sports and dance clothing market. Its founder, Josefina Garza, was dissatisfied with the quality and service delivered by swimming suit suppliers to Aquagym, her swimming school. She set up a small scale operation to be able to offer her school’s customers the well made, attractive swimwear they wanted. Josefina quickly found herself supplying many other local schools and teams who liked the Velox formula: a combination of high quality, functional and stylish design, quick service, very attractive pricing and reliable service. Dance and gymnastic started as her daughters were practicing both disciplines.
In 1996, encouraged by customer acceptance, armed with a clear understanding of the market’s needs and determined to develop Velox into a leading manufacturer, Josefina registered the company as Trajes y Leotardos Velox, SA de CV. In 2005 changed its name to Velox America, SA de CV to enter the international market, mainly USA.
Nowadays we offer a very complete line of swimming suits for competition and fitness use, dancewear and gymnastics outfits among other types of sports clothing, as well as a great variety of accessories. Our brands have a solid positioning in the Mexican market and, mostly thanks to word-of-mouth recommendations; we already have a significant export sales volume.
